- Product backlog generation and prioritization. Full life cycle stewardship of product initiatives from executive vision to tactical implementation. Agile experience as Product Owner on multiple, simultaneous projects. Managing demand between multiple stakeholders.
- SLA and defect management. Ability to make value- and risk-based decisions on maintenance operations and release scheduling. Acting as a key point of contact for stakeholders and clients. Creating non-functional requirement specifications (e.g. performance and monitoring metrics, etc.).
- Market and competitive analysis. Making value-based decisions on direction based on market trends, competitor capabilities, and intuition based on years of experience in online industries, especially e-commerce.

Achievements
- Set architectural direction for platform modernization of GameStop's e-commerce properties, including SOA principles and event-driven business processes. Worked hands-on leading a team of developers to deliver on those goals.
- Provided technical leadership and recovery for a major platform initiative that was already underway and seriously behind schedule at GameStop. Received the Power Play Customer Experience award for this achievement.
- Joined a division-wide software architecture council at RealPage, contributing to the maturation of internal standards and processes for software development.
- Directed small-scale implementation of Agile and XP practices at RealPage, dramatically improving intra-team communication and productivity.
- Championed the introduction of modern techniques and patterns such as Test-Driven Design (TDD), pair programming, Aspect-oriented Programming (AOP), Model View Controller (MVC), Inversion of Control (IOC), and more, increasing quality of code and lowering cost of maintenance on multiple projects.
- Established knowledge share and management processes and tools to retain business and software development knowledge at ThinkCash, stymying a destructive loss of expertise when key team members left the company. Personally contributed several hundred articles to kick-start the project.
- Drove the formation of an internal tools team to support internal proprietary and approved COTS development tools at ThinkCash, improving the overall quality of our development processes and reducing turnaround time on defects in tools.
- Authored several internal presentations and online training courses for various technologies and practices at ThinkCash on topics ranging from Revision Control Systems (RCS) to Scrum, improving adoption time of new technologies for all products teams.
- Created a framework of over 154 classes covered by 106 automated unit test cases to address repeated, inconsistent implementations of solutions to various business problems at RealPage as a self-initiated project.
- Served as a technical point of contact for several high-profile, multi-million dollar accounts such as UDR, Southland (7-Eleven), CompUSA, the American Heart Association, and more at various agencies, leveraging a natural talent to express complex technical subjects to non-technical audiences.
